Glittering summits, sparkling white expanses and snow-bedecked forests – this is winter in the Dolomites. The beautiful slopes have everything for winter sports fans and, with a total of over 670 kilometres of pistes at the foot of these stunning peaks, there is plenty of room for everyone. Skiers, snowboarders, tobogganers and cross-country skiers will find a true winter paradise here. Those looking for variety and new runs to conquer will be delighted with the “Dolomiti Superski” ski carousel: 16 ski areas linked by just one ski pass. But winter in the Dolomites is far more than this, with peace and quiet also to be found in the enchanting, snow-covered natural world. There are leisurely winter walks, snowshoe excursions through fresh snowfalls or ski tours up to the summits. Snowshoes can be rented almost everywhere, while guided ski tours ensure that no one misses out on the charms of nature in winter.

The valleys too form part of this winter wonderland. The Christmas season in particular offers such attractions as the Musical Christmas in Brunico/Bruneck, the Dolomites Christmas in San Candido or the fascinating Mountain Christmas at the Pragser Wildsee Lake, where the festive sounds of choirs and brass bands can be heard.
